Venue Information

[Venues by night/location][Venue details]
[Franchise Contact Details][Special Events][Teaching Rota]

This information is longer kept up to date, although most of it is still right. You should always check with the local franchisee or the main Ceroc office before attending any night as venues can be unavailable at short notice. You have been warned!! :-)

The most up to date information can be found on the official Ceroc Central website at http://www.ceroccentral.com

Please Note:

  • If you click on the location (e.g. Northampton) it will take you to the entry for that venue, with the address and comments on the venue (where known).
  • Similarly, clicking on the operator (e.g. Ceroc Central) will take you to the contact details for that franchise.
  • Where start and finish times are not provided, as a guideline, Ceroc nights normally start at around 7:30pm - 7:45pm (though some start as early as 7:00pm) and finish between 10:30pm - 11:00pm (but sometimes as early as 9:45pm)
  • Admission charges seem fairly constant round the country, usually (as at 10/3/98) around £5.00 for members. Remember that your £1.00 membership fee is a once-only fee but you must remember to bring your card with you or you will be asked to join again - no exceptions!
  • Finally, please note that the comments are my own personal opinion and should be treated as such - i.e. your mileage may vary!

Go left, towards Kempston town centre, straight over the next roundabout, up the hill to a crossroads with traffic lights and Sainsbury's on the right. Go straight across and then at the second set of crossroads and lights turn left. The Addison centre is on the left.

7:45 - 10:45 Ceroc Central Iain Buchanan Always a decent number of people and physically quite a good venue. If you live nearby, come and check it out. I haven't got detailed instructions for how to get there but if you find the railway station in Bletchley you're very close - just ask.

7:45 - 10:45 Ceroc Central Emma Day (Tues)/
Geoff ? (Thurs)
One of the better venues in the Midlands area as far as I am concerned. Always a good turn out, a high proportion of good dancers (especially on Tuesdays) and generally good music. Parking is a bit of a pain though and it can get very hot, especially in summer! (But then again, where doesn't?). Emma is visually a very eye-catching teacher and I have learnt a lot of new moves from her in the Intermediate classes.
Nottingham (1) The Ballroom
Marcus Garvey Centre
Lenton Boulevard
Nottingham
7:45 - 10:45 Ceroc Central Jason Tate Having been here for a freestyle I can recommend it! A huge wooden sprung dance floor, good lighting and sound - definitely worth checking out!
Directions:
On the west side of Lenton Boulevard there is a "UK" petrol station. To the left of it there is an entrance (almost opposite Ashburnham Avenue). The entrance is marked with signs headed "Nottingham Business and Technology Group". Go in and you will find a car park, and The Ballroom on the left behind the big building.
Addendum: Take J25 off M1, follow signs towards Nottingham City Centre and when you get to where it crosses Lenton Boulevard, turn left and it's on your left
Nottingham (2) West Bridgford Community Hall
Church Drive
West Bridgford
7:45 - 10:45 Ceroc Central 'Boy Robin' A pretty reasonable venue but is easy to miss. Best advice - find the police station, just off the main street and it is virtually next door to that.

  2. Follow the A52 for approx. 5 1/2 miles towards Nottingham
  3. At large roundabout, take A52 (right) towards Grantham, Birmingham & Melton
